Teradek

Teradek, a Vitec Group brand, manufactures wireless video devices for remote video capture, live ENG backhaul, real-time monitoring, proxy recording and webcasting. For complex IP video systems, Teradek's cloud-based management platform allows users to remotely operate a fleet of Teradek encoders in real-time from anywhere in the world. All Teradek products are designed and manufactured in the USA.

Available Positions


Project Manager

(Full Time - job location: Irvine, CA)

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand all aspects of the product development and approval process
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with management
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Review the project schedule with management and other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Advise and escalate alerts of due dates, errors, or changes that would cause delay or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
  • Write reports on the project for management
  • Monitor all budgeted project expenditures
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and within budget
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • At least two (2) years of relevant project management experience required
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to execute many complex tasks simultaneously, and work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels in the organization

Embedded Firmware Engineer (Wireless Networks)

(Full Time - job location: Irvine, CA)

Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications to understand the systems requirements of the project, system architecture and design.
  • Design, develop, and test Teradek wireless networking products.
  • Work with RF team to understand the applications and provide the most effective solutions to product requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify origin
  • Document issues in issue tracking system
  • Fix bugs where appropriate
  • Participate in code reviews
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in software development with a strong background in C
  • Experience with software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of ARM (Cortex-M) processor architectures
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols
  • Experience with 802.11 wireless networking
  • Experience with 802.15.4, Zigbee, ZWave, BlueTooth is a plus
  • Knowledge of cellular standards, especially LTE, a plus
  • Experience in highly hardware-centric, real time, embedded environments
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • BS/MS in CS, CE or Mathematics

Office Manager / Executive Assistant

Responsibilities
  • Greets visitors and customers in a courteous manner and directs them to the appropriate locations.
  • Responsible for daily office operations including ordering and stocking office/studio supplies and pantry items.
  • Provide administrative support to CEO and Leadership Teams, i.e., managing calendars, scheduling and coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, preparing expense reports, etc.
  • Coordinate company sponsored group activities, happy hours, holiday parties, off-site team meetings, and team building events.

Accounts Payable

(Full Time - job location: Irvine, CA)

Position Summary

Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for a range of general accounting tasks but will be primarily responsible for all accounting work associated with processing accounts payable, expense reporting and other accounting tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of relevant work experience and full cycle of accounts payable processes and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing invoices from suppliers in a timely manner
  • Process 3-way P.O. match invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure proper coding in general ledger
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs
  • Maintain vendor records
  • Review and audit expense reports
  • Ability to collaborate with all Departments
  • Assist with month close procedures
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Other general accounting tasks and projects as assigned

Education & Experience: Associates degree in Accounting with specifically relevant work experience. One or more years working with accounts payable in a for profit manufacturing company.

Skills/Experience:

  • 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Must demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of an Accounting team
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Ability to work independently and execute tasks in a timely manner

Develop analytical reports on performance of company products in different geographical regions to identify opportunities for video communication technology market growth. Develop, market, & troubleshoot cloud-based & CORE-based workflow management platforms for complex IP video system. Develop new video communication technology & refine existing technology using wireless network communication standards (2 Ghz, 5Ghz & 60Ghz), GCC, JIRA, Confluence, Eclipse, 360/VR Video (Stitching & Streaming), Linux, & SMPTE Timecode. Choose technological requirements for future product implementations. Study technological test data, track technology trends, & make product recommendations to existing & prospective clients.

Req’s: Bachelor’s in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Engineering & two yrs of exp in position offered or as Communication Test Analyst.
