Multi Stream Decoding
XCalibur is Teradek’s state-of-the-art multi-stream IP video decoder and multi display processor. XCalibur simultaneously decodes up to four HD 1080p video streams, 16 SD streams, 24 CIF streams, or any combination of the above, and displays them in high definition with a screen resolution of up to 1920 x 1080 via an HDMI/DVI output.
Multi Stream DisplayXCalibur’s onscreen display (OSD) features advanced semi-transparent text and bitmap overlay, 1x, 2x, 8x, 8+, 16x tile modes plus sequencing, picture-in-picture, scaling, motion detection with sensitivity controls, and serial communication for PTZ control or point of sale integration. A mouse and keyboard can be connected via XCalibur’s two USB 2.0 ports so users can select cameras for full screen viewing, configure the OSD and more.
Built-in Web ServerXCalibur also features a built-in web server and a simple yet sophisticated WebUI that allows a user to configure all Teradek units on the network, assign names to video streams, and assign video streams to cameos.

Available in Three Models
Model R1 features a single gigabit ethernet port. All video streams are acquired over the existing ethernet from sources (IP cameras, NVRs, or video encoders such as Teradek’s Odyssey series) located on your LAN/WAN.
Model R2 features a built-in Gigabit Router plus a single-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) enabled managed switch.
Model R4 features a built-in Gigabit Router plus a four port Power over Ethernet (PoE) enabled managed switch.
The addition of the Gigabit Router on the R2 and R4 models eliminates the need for an existing network infrastructure. PoE IP Devices can be connected directly to the unit. This creates and manages a private network, providing IP addresses to IP cameras and encoders, allowing IP streams to be connected without the need for additional network devices.
