Bond is a robust cellular transmitter that allows anybody to broadcast full HD video with absolute ease and confidence. There are no contracts, no recurring fees, and best of all, the only ongoing cost is that of your cellular data plans. To streamline Bond's configuration, Teradek is happy to help you with your setup. Once the initial configuration is complete, the system will take care of itself.

Bond is especially relevant for ENG applications since it enables news crews to create their story in the field, email it back to the station over a 4G modem, and then use that same modem with Bond to begin shooting live immediately. One other advantage for this industry is the unit's small chassis and low power requirements. A single Teradek SWIT battery will power both camera and Bond for multiple hours.

Bond™ HDSDI/ HDMI Live Event Bundle

The Live Events Bond package provides you with a Cube encoder, Bond, and one month of Premium Teradek Support. The units will be preconfigured to stream directly to Livestream’s servers where our free aggregation software, Sputnik, is installed to recombine the live broadcast into a cohesive video. Bond™ HDSDI/ HDMI Broadcast Bundle

The Bond Broadcast Bundle includes a Cube encoder and decoder, Bond unit, MPEG-TS license, one month of premium support, and an optional pre-configured server for hosting our de-bonding software, Sputnik. This particular package is ideal for organizations seeking to bring a Bond video feed back into their studio or station before broadcasting to the public.

MPEG Transport Stream

Creates an MPEG transport stream over an IP (TCP or UDP) stream that is compatible with television broadcast equipment and IPTV set-top boxes. This license is necessary to transmit video from a remote location or for push broadcasts to Teradek decoders. Compatible with all Cube encoders.
sputnik

What is Sputnik?

Sputnik is Teradek’s software interface between Bond and your streaming destination. Sputnik is designed to run on a Linux computer either in the cloud (using Amazon’s EC2 services) or on a local server with a single, publically addressable TCP port. Sputnik recombines the various video feeds from Bond into a cohesive stream that can then be sent to an H.264 decoder or played back online.

BOND™ SYSTEM DISCLOSURE


Bond requires a Teradek Cube encoder with USB connectivity. The Cube is NOT included with Bond. If the video stream destination is a Cube decoder, an MPEG-TS license must be purchased for an additional fee. Bond communicates with Sputnik, a free and proprietary software application. Sputnik is a Linux application, and can be deployed on a physical computer or in the cloud. Sputnik system requirements:
